As you already know, understanding different accents in English is important, but not always easy. How can you accustom your ear to all its different sounds?
In addition to the “classic” accents, you also have to deal with Indian, Chinese, Brazilian, German, Italian, … accents. Let’s say that even if you begin to get accustomed to my American accent, you may not be working only with my compatriots.

P.S. For me, in French, the most difficult is a strong Québec accent. I need subtitles!
Have you tried the IDEA accent archive? That’s another great tool, but the dialogues are more challenging as they’re designed for language researchers, rather than learners.

Ah, the IDEA archive is brilliant! I totally forgot about it, but thanks for reminding us of it! I agree that it’s not the most user-friendly site for students, but when I show it to students, and how they can just hear all sorts of different accents, they really find it fascinating!
