“Why should we hire you?”And now for this week’s episode…
It’s one of the most classic job interview questions. But so many people just have a mediocre answer.
It’s a question that’s all about you: Why you, and not someone else?
Pourquoi vous et pas un autre ?
It’s a subject that you know and master, but still, sometimes it’s hard to know what to say.
You end up with a weak answer like “I’m autonomous and very motivated to succeed. I’m passionate about my job and want to bring my skills to your company.”
Sure, you and everybody else.
You can do much better than this, I know it.
Sure it’ll take practice.
But here’s some great advice that Yvon, a SBFG Ambassador told me, and that I thought was great to share with the community: “
The best advice you can give to your students is not to be shy, and practice, practice and practice whenever it is possible even with a French accent and making mistakes.”
I absolutely, absolutely agree, Yvon! Thanks for the reminder!
That’s why this week’s episode gives you an example to follow, plus the exact structure you need to have an awesome answer that is sure to impress the recruiter. This way, you can practice and practice!
