Zan’s Story: From no opportunities to practice to confident, natural & comfortable in English

How to become confident Business English Story

“Before the program, I didn’t really have opportunities to practice English every day…”

I want to share with you the story of Zan, a purchaser in France.
Because I think this story can inspire you. And show you what’s possible.

A few months ago, Zan realized that she needed to try something different.
The traditional lessons she was taking in a language school weren’t enough.

She wanted to be able to practice every day.
She wanted smarter and more effective ways of improving her English.
Because she knew that English was an essential skill for her job.

And she took a risk. She tried something new–she enrolled in my Business English Mastery Virtual Immersion Program.

What would you say if I told you that to reach her goal, Zan had to become an expert:
An expert in her own English-learning process.

Does that sound hard?  Or maybe it sounds like something you can do–if you know how.

I want to share Zan’s story with you. So that you can become an expert in your own English practice.

I’ll share my top 5 takeaways from Zan’s story with you here.

1. #1: To be an expert in your own language learning: understand your past struggles.

Zan knows what it’s like to work on her English. She’s tried before.
She even enrolled in a local language school… but she didn’t get the results she wanted.

Zan was already starting to become an expert in her own language learning.
She knew what she needed to be able to do in English.

And she realized she needed something more than what she currently had. She needed structure.

Here’s what Zan had to say about her earlier efforts to make progress with her English in a language school:

“…to be honest with you, it was expensive, but I didn’t learn a lot because they are not structured… the program was not structured.”

What was missing?

“The everyday practice.”

2. #2: To be an expert in your own language learning: be willing to try something new.

And that’s when Zan decided to take a step further in becoming the expert in her own language learning. She decided to take a risk. To try something completely new.

She saw that what she was already doing was not effective.  But she didn’t give up. Instead he began to look for new, smart strategies to meet her goals.

Like the Virtual Immersion program she joined: Business English Mastery.

3. #3: To be an expert in your own language learning: try something effective.

Personally, I was really excited to see that Zan realized and saw concretely how this program helped her enjoy learning more, and learn faster.

If you watch the video, Zan mentions the structure, the repetition–the chance to talk to others in English almost every day!

She talks about the habits my team and I help you build in Business English Mastery. The small and effective steps you can take every day. The habits that are so powerful in changing your English over time.

But how do I really know that Zan is an expert in her own language learning?
She knows how important it is for English practice to be relevant–and enjoyable!

“To learn fast and well, you should take pleasure when you learn, you should say to yourself, that is for you, it’s for your skills, for your inner competence. So you learn with pleasure and you learn faster.”

4. #4: To be an expert in your own language learning: learn to overcome your own obstacles.

I am always learning so much from the people I work with.
My clients truly inspire me.

Here’s a lesson from Zan that I want to share with you:

In our discussion, Zan compared the process of becoming confident in English to the process of becoming fluent in French, her other foreign language.

But she also saw that many others, just like her, maybe like you today, continue to struggle with overcoming the obstacles you still face in English.

It’s very wise to realize that sometimes these obstacles–come from ourselves.  For example, when we feel ashamed of our English.

In Zan’s words:

“…because they feel ashamed, you know, when they speak and they feel you judge their accent, their vocabulary, their grammar.  But I don’t have this kind of problem. When I learned French, in the beginning, I had this type of problem. And I overcame this. So, it’s just like… I tell people you have to overcome your own obstacle, and free yourself.”

5. #5: To be an expert in your own language learning: find a team to help you find your confidence.

You’re probably thinking that a problem might come from ourselves, but…
It’s still not so easy to solve.

But when you surround yourself with a team of coaches and fellow-learners.

And when your entire team is focused on one thing: confidence…
That can make a huge difference.

That’s why the Virtual Immersion I’ve designed for you focuses on your confidence first.
That’s why I designed Business English Mastery to help you take small steps alongside great people.
So that you can see: yes, you CAN do it.

And I’ll leave you with a final thought from Zan:

“Maybe the biggest result that I have today is, I feel more comfortable, more natural and you know, the words come easier when I speak and I feel more, yeah. More confidence.”

That’s just one student’s story of how my Virtual Immersion program Business English Mastery changed their English and their confidence in themselves.

And there are so many other Virtual Immersion success stories just like Zan’s.
