Benefits of coaching in English

Do you really want to improve your English?

Then you need to attack it from all angles!

The early progress is fun and “easy,” but at some point, you need a strategy.

For example, you might want:

  • Individual lessons with a teacher
  • Group coaching
  • Conversation practice

A teacher will focus on YOUR personal weaknesses, and make sure you don’t stop progressing.

A coach can give you motivation, the right mindset to break down any obstacle, and good advice on strategy (“How can I learn the most, in the fastest way?”).

And you need conversation practice, to apply all that training to “real-life” conversation. That’s the real test that matters!

But it doesn’t always work for everyone. Is it the right plan for YOUR situation?
Here are some questions you can ask yourself.

→ Can I have constant practice?

Just like exercising, learning an instrument, or any skill, learning English requires constant practice!

You may choose to enroll in a local course, for example. But if you really want results, you need to make an extra effort: to work at home between classes, by yourself. And actually attend class, of course.

It’s not always possible to physically travel to class, especially in our busy lives – and especially if you’re often on business trips…

Once you miss two classes in a row, it will take time to catch up. Worse, your motivation will drop!

In the ideal situation, you have several moments to practice each week, and an effective way to keep learning when you’re not in town.

And the shortest commute possible: your time is valuable!

→ Am I mentally comfortable going showing my “weaknesses” ?

It isn’t easy to take lessons and self-improve. It’s brave, it’s useful, “top performers” do it regularly, and I can guarantee you that it will be worth it in the long term.

But “improving yourself” also means showing others your imperfections. It means speaking with your accent (that you don’t like), or making mistakes with tenses (that you sometimes confuse).

Especially in a group class with colleagues or your boss… students often fear the judgment. They don’t want to show their “weaknesses” to people they see every day.

→ Am I training for real-life, or for artificial situations?

This question is most relevant for conversation groups or partners. Does it really reflect the different types of people you need to understand everyday, in your career?

Or are you only practicing with a small selection of accents, with the same background?

Sure, it’s easier to understand when everyone speaks slowly, clearly, and with perfect English. But that’s not real life.

Americans speak English differently than people from France, from China, from India…

In real life, you might need to be able to understand and speak with all of them!

That’s why I made a better system.

…So you can get a systematic coaching program to get the most out of your limited study time.
A qualified teacher that will adapt to your schedule.

A conversation group from all over the world, with the wide differences of accents and English levels that you need for real-life situations.

A real “study group” feeling, where you can get support from fellow students, ask questions, and get answers whenever you want (just before sending that email to a client, for example, just to check out if you’re not insulting them by mistake…)

All of this online, in the discretion of your own home or anywhere you are.

And the rewards can be great…

You deserve the best.
